Chief instructor Louis Toledo received the who’s who in the martial arts international pioneer award, for decades of martial arts commitment, dedication and production of fine upstanding students.

Maplewood Karate students put on a demonstration for the spring open market joining the Maplewood Village Alliance. They performed forms to music, board & concrete braking; there were many spectators on Baker Street who enjoyed the exciting demonstration, as did the students. Instructors from the Maplewood Karate Dojo were inducted into the International Association of Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Chief Instructor Louis Toledo received the master instructor of the year award, and Diego Dumas received the Martial Arts Master of the year Award. This is the second year in a row kyoshi Toledo founder of Maplewood Karate has received this award.
